Drama. It surfaces during holidays. No one wants it to. We get out of bed focusing on the day ahead and we tell ourselves not to screw anything up. Be polite to cranky folks. Be quiet when you want to respond poorly to a situation you see but can do nothing about. Be generous when others are stingy. Do not let the words of others influence you to respond with words that make a sailor blush. Words. So beautiful. So powerful. So destructive. We can break a soul with our words as easily as a child destroys a Lego tower with their hands. Like the tower, it takes time to build a soul. And like the child, we can be careless, unthinking, and emotional. We can destroy something that took a long time to put together, with one sentence. I could post examples of unhappy incidents from this weekend, but it is unnecessary. People failed me. I failed them. Everyone has moments. We are human. Right now, I would rather sort out the mess and learn from the errors. Right now, Id rather reach out to friends and family here and be transparent so that people do not condemn themselves, but see clearly and understand... We are all in this thing together, dwelling here, on planet earth. We are blessed to have a new day dawn every 24 hours with which to try again. It is more important to gather up the bits and pieces than to wail over the mess. It is more important to rebuild. With you in spirit, beloveds. Peace to your hearts. - leah ♡
