Dramatic Changes TRICK OR TREAT?: Much of Halloween will be uneventful. Mainly sunshine. Pleasant. But, as we get into the evening things change radically. Some clouds move in. The winds pick up dramatically. Could be a few sprinkles. It starts to turn colder. For the trick-or-treaters temperatures tumble into the 50s, with northwest winds at 15-20 mph. The overnight low falls to 36, with wind chill by morning into the 20s. DRAMATICALLY COLDER SATURDAY: Saturday will be like a day in January, even though its only the first of November. Highs will barely make it into the middle 50s Northwest winds at 15 to 22 mph will make it seem colder. The winds die down Saturday night, gradually. We are headed for the coldest night of the season. Lows will reach the low to mid 30s by dawn. Frost will be widespread. For many towns, it could easily be the first freeze of the season. Make sure you protect your tender vegetation. SUNDAY OUTLOOK: After the frigid start to the day, Sunday will be sunny and cool with a high around 61. It will still be breezy, but not nearly as windy as Saturday. The Sunday night low will fall back into the 30s for the third night in a row. FALL BACK: Dont forget - This is the weekend we Fall back one hour as we return to Standard time. Saturday night, before you go to bed, set the clocks back an hour. We will get an extra hour of sleep Saturday night. LOOKING AHEAD: We will start a gradual warming trend Monday through Wednesday. Temperatures will gradually climb back to the upper 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. . Some question marks remain on the timing of the next storm system.
