Dramatic Thoughts from Seoulm8t Show: Hi! School: Love On (하이스쿨: 러브온) Episode 8-10 Im sorry for never posting (I sound like a broken record player every time I start a post this way... But its true haha) Anyways, Im on holiday right now, so Ill be marathoning these dramas before its too late and I have to go back to school... What do you all think about a video review? Ive got a new camera thats just itching to be used. And now, without further ado, lets talk about the show~ So the inevitable happened. Grandma died. And I really teared up during the hospital and funeral scenes, even though I knew that it was all coming, due the stupid spoilers from the last episode. Sigh... I feel that if I keep praising the show, itll seem like Im being endorsed, but to be honest, there are so many things this show does well... So lets talk about the pitfalls of this show, hahaha. This drama, like many others currently on air, suffers from bad script writing. The sentence structures used are sometimes so awkward and jarring because it sounds like someone wrote this shows dialogue like a book. Im not quite sure how to describe this phenomenon in English because we dont really have a literary voice that is grammatically enforced. Sure, there exists grammar styles that are viewed as academic, but I wouldnt quite describe this show as having an academic voice. Also, this show sometimes seems too... Chancy to be true. Like come on, how is it possible that your own mother left you at a young age, and then ends up the stepmother of one of your friends? Yes, Ive praised this show on having realistic themes and overarching plot lines, but there are certain plot holes (?) that detract from this realism. Furthermore, I hope for the origin of the Angels to be described more in detail. Rather than Woohyun reading from a random library book, and viewers not even seeing a word of the text. And then, Woohyun, bless his poor heart, just believes the rubbish book. I mean. Come on man, with a cover like that, do you really think this is imperial research that can be trusted??? ... Maybe Im too cynical... Anyways, without spoiling the rest of the plot, what do you guys thing about this show?
