Dreadfully sad to hear of the death of the 68 year old lady Aileen Finch. Aileen, from Bryansford, had been staying with relatives in Ballymartin while recovering from an operation. An intensive search was engaged upon when her niece Gillian and Gillians husband Glyn Hanna raised the alarm. The couple awoke on Tuesday and found Aileen missing. She was a slight lady and was wearing a wind-proof jacket, a woollen hat and track suit bottoms, when she was found on the beach at tea time yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aileens family at this sad time. Rowan Hand
