Dreams, Loneliness and Sura Duhā Today, I received a phone - TopicsExpress

Dreams, Loneliness and Sura Duhā Today, I received a phone call from a dear friend. She was seeking advice on a project that was so amazing, so incredible, it blew my mind. However, she mentioned, Im worried about what others will say. I may be isolated if I do this. The following is a summary of my response to her. I hope it benefits others. True dreams are like a sun that shines bright, blinding, brining life to a cold, dark earth. However, in its most glorious moment, the sun appears alone, isolated and lonely. Harsh and hot, few can handle it, and most avoid it. Perhaps Sura Duha was sent to encourage the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم of this, reminding him that leadership is a light, and often times that light is so bright that it shines alone. Over time, the light settles and as the coolness of the night sets in, the effects of the sun appear in the heavens; stars reflect its light, its blessings - It was never alone. Initially, its light was too intense for others, but over time, they were able to understand and reflect it. The initial light could only be handled by a chosen few, but over time, as it settled, others could as well. By the glorious morning light and the still of the night, Your Lord has not left you and He does not hate you. Such are dreams! Dreamers shine bright. They stick out because their ideas and bravery isolate them from those around them, blinding them with their genius. But because of their intensity, they shine alone. That is the price of dreams and leadership. The sun is the same. In its most glorious state, it rests alone - at least it appears so. So, in your loneliness and concern, in your dreams and hopes you are shining. Dont be sad. Shine! By the glorious morning light and the still of the night, Your Lord has not left you and He does not hate you. As time goes on, and if you are sincere and with God, your light will effect others. Stars will appear and your vision will shine through them - like stars. Give it time. Light travels thousands of years before it reaches its object. Shine! In Mecca, the Prophet عليه السلام was alone, commissioned by Allah to rise and warn. Over time, his followers began to understand his mission and their numbers grew. The effects of his light began to show and it continues until this day. My companions are like stars. Shine! Suhaib Webb
