Dreamtime Blackness curling, blackness swirling, Wraps you up - TopicsExpress

Dreamtime Blackness curling, blackness swirling, Wraps you up tight deep in the night. Anxiety grasps, anxiety rasps, “Give up the fight, say farewell to the light.” Night, like a mother trying to smother And allay the fears , wipe away the tears Of a dream trapped child whose sleep is wild Tossing and turning with a brow that’s burning Dreamtime welcome? More like dreamtime hell come. What lurks in the black? Don’t look back. Wait for the night to succumb to the light. When the black uncurls, and the black stops swirling. Dawn breaks and the sunlight takes Those images away, yields to the day When light is a sage which turns the page And promises relief. If you have the belief That the dream is a portent, has meaningful content, Is relevant to life, and can unravel the strife That a dream trapped child can experience, reviled With no trust or belief in the elder, the thief Of free imagination not fettered by procrastination Don’t think just create, abstraction’s your fate. When the black stops curling, when the black stops swirling. Setting innocence free, giving the freedom to see Beyond that screen, an unfamiliar scene Of lives unfound, of nature unwound. When the black stops curling, when the black stops swirling Round a dream trapped mind whose senses unwind. Not seeing the way, not realising the day Will bring reason and rhyme to that black swirling crime, Which had stolen your mind, and had been so unkind. When the blackness curled, and the blackness swirled. © By: - Pete Slater.
