Drifter had another seizure lasts night which prompted me to call his neurologist this morning. I am starting to become uncomfortable with the care he is receiving at the VCA after they suggested we talk about humanly euthanizing him (rather then try more medication) which my family, myself, and his regular vet believe we are no where near needing to discuss that. He has so much life left in him and he is still living a great life despite his seizures. I will not give up on him. I am in search of a new neurologist or an experienced regular vet to bring him to in place of the VCA in Aurora, IL. He has been diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy, we have been on zonisamide, keppra, and passion flower extract. Can you guys help me by sharing this status, someone out there has to know of a better place we can take him for treatment that wont give up on him before he is ready. Thank you!
