Drifting piles and heaps of multi-coloured snowflake here: red and gold and green skimming over road and pavement before gathering in crunchy, rustling, clusters. Hidden in the piles and clinging to hedges are miniature rainbow and jewel bright snowmen. Total weather inspired chaos. At least one wheelie bin went over and several more lost their lid in heavy squally showers in the early hours it seems. Paper, ribbon and wrapping everywhere. One piece was wedged in the gulley; an eerie red eyed clown peering out but was really Minnie Mouse. Fingers like icicles after ripping her out, needing gauntlets before going back to prise more shredded windblown remains from the thorny berried shrub under front room window. Its a bitter, biting, raw wind. But the washings doing a dervish impression so cant be all bad.
