IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE MESSAGE ME WITH YOUR INFO AND I WILL KEEP IT ON A SEPARATE PRIVATE SHEET SO ONLY TRANSPORTERS WILL SEE YOUR INFO. THANK YOU! CONTACTS: Sender: Address: Phone: Receiver: Address: Phone: Transport Coordinator: Tawnya Burris Email: tawnyabp@aol Phone: *******************************DISCLAIMER******************************* We are dependent on what the senders tell us about our passengers temperaments. The very nature of animal rescue transport creates some risk for those who participate; even a good natured animal may find it stressful to be passed from stranger to stranger and cooped up with other unfamiliar animals, and therefore may act in uncharacteristic ways. As a Volunteer Transport Coordinator, neither I nor anyone else associated with this transport can accept liability for any accidents or incidents that may occur during the transport. By agreeing to transport you acknowledge that risks are involved and agree not hold anyone involved responsible should an incident occur. Please note that passengers may change and that passenger descriptions are from the sending contacts and may be subject to change. We do our best to ensure that all animals are healthy and of sound temperament, but please keep in mind that transport is stressful and can cause previously unknown health/behavior problems to surface. PERMISSION TO CROSSPOST GRANTED & APPRECIATED – NO CRAIGSLIST!! We respond to ALL offers. If you have volunteered, and not heard back from us within 24 hours, please resend. *******************************DISCLAIMER******************************* We are a group of volunteer transport coordinators that utilize a network of volunteer drivers who assist rescues and adopters in their efforts to save dogs from shelters. We cannot be held responsible by any party for damages, loss of property, or reimbursement of costs. We reserve the right to refuse to assist any rescue or adopter that does not allow a full screening to be done by us PRIOR to transport. ***COMMITMENT TO DRIVING***Do not volunteer to drive if you are not committed to showing up on time on transport day. Relay transports cannot operate if there is a missing link in the chain, and the rescue animals suffer as a result. If an emergency arises that prevents you from driving you must notify the transport coordinator as soon as possible. Please be respectful of the entire team that has been assembled. DRIVERS: Please bring collars, leashes and slip leads. Route times are rounded up to the nearest 5 minutes, with 10 minutes added in between for bathroom/gas/food/potty breaks. Additional time has also been added for travel through metropolitan areas. ***When temperature is high in the area, please use caution when walking dogs. Paws are much better off on grass and/or dirt than they are on super-hot asphalt*** Please note that the nature of transport creates some risk for those involved. The animals can be sweet, but are under a great deal of stress in the rescue and transport phases. By agreeing to transport, you acknowledge that there are risks involved and agree to not hold anyone involved responsible should an incident occur. All legs are flexible; do not hesitate to contact the transport coordinator about adjusting leg.
