Driving home and reflecting on my Christmas. We were able to get my grandpa out of the nursing home for a few hours to be with the family. He told the nurse he hasnt missed a Christmas in 56 years with his family an today wasnt going to be the first. Missing my dad, missing Charlie (first time without him), thinking about my best friend driving to her new home in Florida, and a co worker recovering from a car accident in a different state. All these thoughts really put everything into perspective about what the holidays are really about. Family and loved ones surrounding you. Treasure the time you do get and make memories.
