Driving home late last night from the city...it was pitch black on SH1. Feeling a bit uneasy what unfolded can only be described as strangers all looking out for one another...all in seperate lanes...we all somehow started a convey in the middle lane...I was the 4th car in the convey out of 9...we traveled at 80km...no one over took...but it was a definitely a worrying drive home. As we reached Otahuhu..the lights were on and our convey started to come to an end...as each car took their turn off, they tooted their horn and those left in the convoy beeped back. When I got to my turn off there was only two cars, I tooted my horn and again they beeped back. I felf a sense of relief but at the same time humbled that I was witness and a part of what can only be descibed as humanity at its finest....awe-inspiring.
