Driving over to Kadlec I was thinking about Angie and running - TopicsExpress

Driving over to Kadlec I was thinking about Angie and running through the list of all of the health issues that she has been dealing with over the last week. I was also remembering that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. Well, today, Angie was acting more like her old self. The sore throat is almost gone, the obstruction in her intestine is resolved, her white cell count is up to 0.6 from 0.2, her platelets count had almost doubled, she was able to eat 10 bites of cream of rice cereal, a bowl of chicken broth, and half a bowl of orange shurbert (that she said soothed the bit of sore throat that is left), plus some mint tea and some grapefruit juice. Her intestinal upset is subsiding and the urinary tract infection is responding to the antibiotics. Her pain is kept under control with Tylenol. If they need to they may give her a transfusion to increase her hemaglobin levels. They were still checking on that. Strep culture for her throat came back negative and so did the blood tests and bowel infection check. Still no acid or nausea issues in her stomach. After being so sick she is still very weak and tired. She did not go walking down the hall, but did get out of bed and sat up in the chair in her room. The hospitalist encouraged her to eat more, if she could, to help her regain her energy. When I left to go home she and Martin were checking the menus to see what she would maybe have for dinner. It was just so good, at lunch time, to hear her say that she felt hungry and ready to order more food. Driving home the sky was very dark towards the east. As I drove along I got into some wind and rain, and then sun. Travelling along I must have seen at least 9 different partial rainbows, here and there. So beautiful! I kept thinking that they were for Angie. I pulled over and took some pictures of an amazing cloud with the rainbow coming down from it. Ive never seen anything like it before, that I can remember. God is just so amazing! He is doing a mighty work in Angies life. Im so grateful that she is beginning to feel better. Lord, it was almost as if you were giving a rainbow for each of the different issues that Angie is being healed from. You are such a gracious and loving God. Thank you that we can trust you fully. Thank you for each bit of healing that you are giving her. Please help Angie to get stronger, moment by moment. Please let the chemo work as it should in her body. In your precious name I pray, Amen
