Driving to an early assignment this morning, i was amused to see dark clouds filling the horizon, like trying to tamp down the brilliant rays of the rising sun. It is not often that you see the desert sun gets cowed by the threat of rain. And true enough, as i get to my destination, the sun emerges in iridiscent victory! Not long after though, those ominous,heavy clouds unleashed its fury with lashing downpour, creating flash floods and muddy streets. It was like watching a battle of natures forces, except that I watched the height and the aftermath destruction on tv, having gotten inside the building even before the skies burst open, thank God!
