Dropped by the hotel yesterday and had a talk with Denise Creasman – our contact and Director of Sales for the Fort Magruder. I got the following information so I thought I would pass it along. Current hotel room numbers: So far 479 room nights reserved - Breakdown of the rooms – Weds: 12 rooms, Thursday 66 rooms, Friday 182 rooms, Saturday 181 rooms, Sunday 38 rooms. So that means we have less than 120 rooms left for Friday and Saturday. Important Information concerning the hotel: It has been SOLD once again. The new owners are planning In the next 6 months to do the following upgrades: New beds in every room, along with new flat screen TV’s. New carpet in all the hallways (may be other areas also). They plan to build a fire pit out in the court yard. They are going to upgrade their bar. There were several other things but Denise was telling me all of it and I can’t remember what she said. I don’t know what affect this will have on us. We will just have to roll with it. But the one important piece of information. They are going to get a SHUTTLE VAN!!
