Drought sucks! Very dry fuels and single digit humidity mean extreme fire conditions. 6 fires in Colorado yesterday, at least 4 still burning, 3800 acres and many homes lost in Black Forest north of Colorado Springs. Fire burned up to the Royal Gorge Bridge, west of Canon City, no word yet on bridge condition. We had a small brush fire in the Fountain Creek on the East side of Pueblo last night, but it is now out and crews are on watch there as the wind increases throughout the day. The La Veta fire to the south is only about 50 acres with no structures affected. Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities reported anywhere at this time. Please send healing prayers to those affected and protective prayers to the first responders on the scenes. In these conditions, the slightest spark can start a huge fire please be extra careful!!
