Drove to Vegas. Had dinner with John Rhys-Davies and Michael Capazolli. Drove home the next day. No stops either drive. There used to be a Bobs Big Boy in Barstow and another in Baker. Both are gone. So, no burger. Would have gotten a burrito at the Taco Bell in Baker, but there was only one employee and she was so busy taking care of the drive-thru that she didnt notice the line of customers at the counter. Skipped the Alien Jerky store this trip. Would have stopped at Freddys in Hesperia, but couldnt find an off-ramp. Did the drive in 4.5 hours, each way. Did not go over the speed limit. Saw a lot of assholes though who thought they were in the Gran Prix. Above 75 mph, youre not driving, youre aiming. High points -- Michael Capazolli is a mensch. John Rhys-Davies is one of the most entertaining and intelligent men Ive ever broken bread with, very generous with the restaurant staff and everyone else as well. Lots of fun stories about various productions hes been in. In general, an old-school trooper who knows what hes talking about. I look forward to working with Michael and John.
