Droz and I have been anticipating this stuff since before the first iPhone was invented (we shot one of our first skits using a primitive video mode on an early digital pocket-sized point-and-shoot camera and our Mass Effect 3 raffle video on an iPhone 3GS) and the iPhone 6 itself looks like a too-be-expected amount of decent, but nothing mind-blowing, or even just exciting (Androids Welcome to 2012, iPhone Users burn was pretty great). I also think the Samsung Gear S looks WAYYYY cooler than the Apple Watch, which up until just now had seemed to me pretty much like a useless device; I dont wear wristwatches and I wouldnt use an iPod nano on a strap to look at pictures. But what got my ears to perk up at the end of this article was the idea of using the Apple Watch as a wireless remote for a digital filmmaking app running on an iPhone on a tripod. THAT is actually a pretty exciting conversation to have. THAT might be a game-changer.
