Drunk women kissing my head, people bashing into me at the bar, - TopicsExpress

Drunk women kissing my head, people bashing into me at the bar, being sat at the back and ignored...not a good night BUT, some really special people out there. My chair did not survive, I got carried up 40 steps by two doormen (and back down), they were ace and made me feel so welcome. Right I did go to the strip club, JUST to see if it was possible and they were awesome, thats where they carried me up and down a huge flight of stairs. Most bars were great, with really attentive staff and good info on getting to the loo. Loos were mostly bog standard but some place really stood out, spotlessly clean and with mirrors at the right level. The general public were epic, I fell backwards and smashed my head and people were there in an instant to help. my wheel fell off and I stayed in character and got carried to a taxi by some lovely people. In the bars I felt very alone, I am one of those annoying people that talk to anyone and last night I found myself at the back, low down and mostly ignored, apart from the occasional pat on the head or leg rub from random people! whats all that about? A woman jumped out in front of me exclaiming, why are you in a chair, its OK, you can tell me Im a care worker for people like you. errr ok strange lady, move along! I had a few tears last night, this whole thing is really testing me as a person, its like being in a parallel universe and I really cant say I like it. Im not saying I could not adjust if it was long term but it would take a lot of time and would not be a smooth ride. Met a homeless man called Will, paid for two nights for him at the hostel, passing on a bit of goodwill, paying it forward as such, he wasnt a junkie and had a great story, what a stupid world we live in where guys like that have nowhere to bed down at night. Its hard to sum up last night, largely ignored, bashed in to, treated like a pet or small child, but when i needed help people were really awesome, In short i didnt enjoy the experience but did see some wonderful acts of kindness.
