Drusilla Christian Stewart Services for Mrs. Drusilla Goodman Christian Stewart will be held Wednesday, September 10 at Bucatunna Baptist Church in the Snell Community (Clarke Co.) at 2 pm. Dr. John Temple and Rev. Doug Goodman will be officiating. Burial will be in Ford Memorial Gardens cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Stewart, 94, of Meridian, passed away Monday at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. She was a lifelong member of Bucatunna Baptist Church and worked at Quitman Knitting Mills for over 30 years. She loved her church, working in her yard and loved her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and of her Sunday lunches that she cooked for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Sondra Stephens and husband Charles, Ranae Grantham and husband Vance, grandchildren, Kathy Casey and husband Pat, Richard Sims, Christi Akers and husband Tyler, J. Grantham, Beau Grantham, great grandchildren, Hollie Buchanan and husband Bradley, 1st Lt. Adam Casey, Sarah Casey, Beth Casey, Jon Tyler Akers and Sims Akers. Mrs. Stewart is also survived by three great great grandchildren and sister, Glenda Evans and husband Ben. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Minnie Goodman, husbands, Lamar Christian and Clay Stewart, and siblings, Leroy Goodman, Rev. Leland Goodman, Odell Goodman, and Laverne Boutwell. Pallbearers serving will be J. Grantham, Beau Grantham, Richard Sims, Tyler Akers, Jon Tyler Akers and Donald Goodman. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
