Dua is detained between the heavens and the earth and no part of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) Dua Before Sleeping Allahuma Bismika amootu wa ahya. The Prophet Muhammad (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said: O ALLAH “WITH YOUR NAME, I DIE AND LIVE.” Bukhari & Muslim. ALSO, Reminder first to myself then to others, Before going to sleep every night , forgive everyone and sleep with clean heart 42:43 Ash-Shūraá And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah اور جو صبر کرے اور قصور معاف کردے تو یہ ہمت کے کام ہیں Hadith Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah r.a Allahs Messenger (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said, Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind. رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جو لوگوں پر رحم نہیں کھاتا اللہ بھی اس پر رحم نہیں کھا تا ۔ al-Bukhari 7376 Book 97, Hadith 6 Vol. 9, Book 93, Hadith 473 Narrated Faddalah ibn Ubayd (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: When anyone of you makes dua, let him start by glorifying his Lord and praising Him, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet (SAW), then let him pray for whatever he wants [abu Dawud #1481, at-Tirmidhi #3477] In another hadith; Baqiy ibn Mukhallid (RA) narrated that that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Every dua is not responded to until one sends blessings upon the Prophet (SAW) [al-Bayhaqi] In another hadith; Umar (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said: Dua is detained between the heavens and the earth and no part of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (SAW) [at-Tirmidhi #486] اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
