Dual-threat carries the 1a Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity past 4a Quincy High School Bluedevils 6-0 An impressive two-way performance from HANNAH DEWITT led the Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity to a 6-0 win Saturday over QHS, as HANNAH came up huge at the dish and in the circle. Dewitt racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity. She singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning. The Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsitys Dewitt kept QHS off the scoreboard for all six innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out two. The Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity blew out QHS thanks to eight hits, including five extra base hits. The Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity scored two runs in the sixth on a passed ball and an RBI single by MACEY SARGENT. The games last lead went to the Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity thanks to a first inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on an RBI single by Hannah Dewittt. The Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity brought home two runs in the fifth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fifth, the Griggsville-Perry Lady Tornadoes Varsity scored on an RBI double by PEYTON Bonds, bringing home Kallie Goewey. Lady GP Lady Tornadoes Softball improves to 4-0 on the season!
