Duality Life is something few experience, Death is what we all know well, Only through soul’s perseverance We escape the jaws of hell. Why are we born to live and die Through endless circles of a lie Fed to innocence, we know Not the way to be and flow With the rivers of our bliss Eternal, said to be the kiss Of heaven on the earth, things pass In fleeting moments to us cast Like diamonds in a darkened sea Of fear that rules eternity, Possessing what appears to be The remnants of the joys that flee Our grasp on what we thought would last Until the shadows of the past Once again lay claim to life, The soul cries out in deepest strife; Then, all on a sudden, something gives And life opens up and lives Yet another hour, day That makes our night our yesterday Never to return and cloud The truth, the sun that speaks aloud Of beauty, peace and bliss the heights Grace the loneliness of night And we find that joyous place Within us carries not a trace Of sorrow born of times now dead, From death we choose to live instead!
