Dubai - Highest Rent Increases in the World dubaipropertysociety/dubai-highest-rent-increases-world/ Dubai has seen the highest rent rises in the world throughout 2014, despite a slowdown during the third quarter according to the latest reports from Knight Frank. In its annual Prime Global Rental Index Dubai recorded a 12.4% growth compared to 12 months ago – beating all of the other 16 markets in the report. The 12.4% compares favourably with the overall increase in the market at 2% Dubai finished in front of Tokyo, Nairobi, New York and Cape Town, despite a flat this quarter as the market levelled off. Heading into 2015, Knight Frank says it expects New York and London to outperform all other cities included in the index, as the economic recovery continues in established financial markets. New York continues to drive the highest rental prices anywhere in the world with an average rental price for a 2-bedroom apartment costing between US$ 8,000 – US$ 8,500 per month. London and Moscow also remain expensive at around US$ 6,000 – US$ 7,500 per month.
