Dubai: A worker smiled in court on Wednesday when he admitted that he molested a female shopper and groped her while she was shopping at the Mall of the Emirates. “Yes, Sir, I am guilty. I groped her,” said the 33-year-old Indian defendant, M.B., with a wide smile on his face when he stood trial before the Dubai Court of First Instance. Prosecutors accused the defendant of molesting the Filipina shopper at the mall on April 27. The suspect was also spotted extending his arm and moving his fingers showing the judge how he groped the Filipina. The 37-year-old shopper testified that she was shopping at the mall around 1.30pm when the incident happened. “I was walking when I felt the defendant touching my back with his palm,” claimed the Filipina. A Palestinian policeman said he was on duty when he was dispatched to the Mall of the Emirates’ police office to look into what had happened. “I was informed that the defendant molested the woman and touched her back. The shopper was walking between two aisles when the suspect came from behind and groped her,” claimed the policeman.
