Dubai-Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is all about embracing the extraordinary. Burj Khalifa, also known as Burj Dubai is the tallest building in the world. Standing tall at 2,722 ft it is one landmark in Dubai you cannot possibly miss seeing. It features an indoor/outdoor observation deck on the 124th floor that is open to the public to enjoy the spectacular view it has to offer. The Dubai Mall is part of the Burj Khalifa complex and is the largest shopping mall in the world based on total area. The mall contains more than 1,200 shops including the world’s largest candy store,an ice rink,a 5 star luxury hotel,22 cinema screens plus 120 restaurants and cafes. The centerpiece of the mall is the gigantic aquarium tank that has more than 33,000 living animals including over 400 sharks and rays combined. It is one of the largest aquariums in the world. Dubai is also the home to The worlds only 7 star Hotel Burj Al Arab, which stands on an artificial island 280 m from Jumeirah beach and the shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. Dubai is a land of superlatives and there is no doubt about it. With the tallest buildings and hotels,largest aquariums and malls it is also has the world’s largest man-made island, Palm Jumeirah which is in shape of a palm tree. One of the projects under development is The World Islands,an artificial archipelago of various small islands constructed in the rough shape of a world map. These two iconic landforms are visible from the space. Being surrounded by deserts, the desert safari is something worth a try ;)
