Traders also point out that Dubai provides ideal marketing opportunities because of the growth in diversity and high level of income of its residents.This was the conclusion reached at the 6th International Exhibition for Vegetables and Fruits in the Middle East 2014 held in Dubais World Trade Center and sponsored by the Municipality of Dubai, where about 150 exhibitors from 26 countries took a floor area of 7,000 square metres.Official statistics show that the UAE has imported 13.04 million Euro worth of fresh produce and 651.89 million Euro of plants and flowers.For his part, Faisal Abdullah, Chairman of Dubai Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables, explained that Dubai is one of the most important markets in the region, stressing that the Dubai Municipality acknowledges the great importance of developing business and marketing opportunities for traders through local and international forums, pointing out that the exhibition is a supplement to the efforts made by the Government of Dubai in this regard.
