Dubai, the Middle Easts city of excess that went through a complete transformation in about 50 years; changing from a desert to big city, tourist resort. This city is an emirate in the UNited Arab Emirates which is on the north-eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula. The United Arab Emirates is a constituted federation of seven emirates which was established on December 2, 1971. December 2, 1971 marks a national holiday for the independence obtained from the United Kingdom. Dubai is 1,588.4 square miles and has a population of 2,262,000 which makes the Emirate the second-largest in size, next to Abu Dhabi. Dubai is so developed for the purpose of tourist but firsted started from the oil industry. The emirate produces beverages, chemicals, paper, pharmaceuticals and rubber with international banks, a free trade zone, tax-free, and the busiest airport in the Middle East. This city has developed dramatically and holds a lot of wealth. Dubais human socio-interation consist of the workers and people that live in the tourist that visit which makes the city very versitle in culture. However, the main population of Dubai is filled with mainly Asian decents; India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, and a small Somaliam community. The average age in Dubai is found to be twenty-seven years of age not counting the constant age difference from the tourist which varies. The main religion in Dubai is Islam but there is tolerance for Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, and the Bahai Faith. The main language of Dubai is Arabic with English being the commonly spoken language. With the large tourist population English is the general translation for all but other languages are spoken amongst the minorities; Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Tagalog, Persian, and Chinese.
