Dubbo father qualifies to play for over $10,000,000 at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas! Dubbo man Trevor Allan, will head to Vegas with the Australian Poker League and 888 Poker League Team WSOP to compete against an estimated 6,500 poker players from all over the world for a coveted WSOP bracelet and approximately $10,000,000 in cash. This is the third time Allan has qualified for the APL/888PL Team WSOP, after he won the April WSOP Playoff. For the win Allan took away the $17,000 WSOP package and $1,000 cash. Players qualify for the WSOP Playoffs by playing in the 888PL and APL poker leagues. Both APL and 888PL offer nightly tournaments throughout New South Wales, with many of the tournaments free to play. The World Series of Poker Main Event begins on July 5th at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Last year’s winner, Ryan Riess of the USA, topped 6,352 competitors to walk away $8,361,570. This year the Rio Resort and Casino, which has hosted the past ten WSOP Main Events, is celebrating the milestone by guaranteeing the $10,000,000 first prize. Allan will be touring Vegas with his wife Leonie and son Aaron and says he plans to, “pay attention and stay disciplined,” as he takes on the world’s best for a share of over $50,000,000. If he was to win big Trevor said he would, “take care of the family and take his wife on holidays wherever she wants to go.”
