Ducati has revealed technical details of a new variable valve - TopicsExpress

Ducati has revealed technical details of a new variable valve system called Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) which will be fitted to the all-new Multistrada 1200 due for an official launch in two weeks. The DVT system is the first time variable valve technology has been seen on a V-twin engine. Ducati isn’t confirming the technology will be fitted to the Multistrada at this stage but MCN insiders have confirmed this is happening and that bike, along with a heavily revised 1299 Panigale superbike range, will be launched at the Milan motorcycle show on November 3.
