Duchesne County Sheriff release on Duchesne High Stabbing Sometime around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning an altercation between two students started on the football field at Duchesne High School and continued into the old gym locker room. One male student was stabbed during the fight. The victim left the locker room and exited outside where Duchesne County Deputies first made contact with the victim. The Deputies administered first aid and called for emergency medical services. The suspect age (18) was taken into custody by the Duchesne County Deputies. The victim age (17) was transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in critical condition. Both Duchesne High School and nearby Duchesne Elementary were placed on lock down. After the scene was secured both schools were taken off lockdown and returned to normal class schedules. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
