Duchy Premier League Pensilva 4-0 Biscovey The first quarter of this match was quite scrappy between these rivals but then Pensilva got the break through on 24 minutes when Jack Penhaligan burst through the Biscovey midfield to play in Jack Podmore who unselfishly passed to Sam Rogers for a tap in. The second half Pensilva controlled from start to finish and increased their lead on 61 minutes when a long pass from Arron Varcoe sat up lovely for Rogers to smash in an unstoppable volley from 25 yards in to the top corner. A few minutes later Pensilva played some fantastic football with 15 passes with Biscovey not getting a touch of the ball, from the back line through to the midfield and on to the strikers which finished in Podmore hitting the post. On 76 minutes Podmore made amends when Jacob England played a delightful ball across goal for Podmore to smash in to the roof of the net. And in injury time Pensilva got awarded a penalty when Podmore was swiped out in the penalty area when skinning a defender which Rogers happily converted for his hat trick. This was a good performance from ‘the pens’ which at times looked unstoppable, Rogers got Pensilvas Man of the Match award for a superb performance up front.
