Due Tomorrow is the applications for The Crochet Crowd Scholarships. The fashion design students competing in Project Creativ Catwalk at Creativ Festival are eligible to receive our very first scholarship awards. 3 Students will be chosen to receive $1000 Each to go toward their education. Crochet Crowders banded together this past spring to put together an exhibit of Alice in Wonderland. $3000 was raised in the proceeds of purchasing the top hats. We are paying it forward by converting those funds by empowering students. Schools competing are George Brown College, Seneca College, Coco Fashion Design Institute, Georgian College and Academy of Design. Daniel and I both received scholarships when we went to College (Mikey) and University (Daniel). We know that giving a helping hand is vital to students finishing their education so they may get a great start in life. Though both of us have steered away from our studies and are doing something completely different today, we learned discipline, ideas, creativity and the work it takes to organize and to be business minded. Those are the side affects that last a lifetime. Together with The Crochet Crowd, we want to pay that forward.
