Due largely to simple economics, back in the day many of us would buy tunes, play them til we knew every word, tape them, then sell or swap them for other stuff we were after. Then the cycle would continue pretty much along those lines with whatever tune wed swapped the original record for. Occasionally though youd come across a record that was either so good or such good value that, despite all the financial pressures and all the killer new releases you might be missing out on, you just couldnt part with it. This glorious Taxi/Wailing Souls 12 was just such a record for me. Still own the copy I bought back in 1980-longtime. Still sounds like a great investment to me...
