Due mainly to the ineptitude of the NCAA, partly of my fascination - TopicsExpress

Due mainly to the ineptitude of the NCAA, partly of my fascination with numbers, I have developed my own formula to rank NCAA footbal teams in Div 1. The formula is pretty simple and is based on winning games and eliminates subjective opinions: Each team receives 1 point for each game won, minus 1 point for each loss(called net wins), and then .1(one tenth of a point) for each game that the defeated opponents has won(opponents wins). Example: Alabama: 8(wins) minus 0(losses) = 8 net wins. The 8 teams that Alabama has defeated have won 29(combined) games (29 X .1= 2.9) 8 minus 0 plus 2.9 equals 10.9. Alabamas score is 10.9 Example #2: LSU: 7(wins) minus 2(losses) = 5 net wins. The 7 teams that LSU has defeated have won 25(combines) games (25 X .1= 2.5) 7 minus 2 plus 2.5 equals 7.5. LSUs score is 7.5 Based on this point system, I present to you the first ever RGS(thats me) College Football Rankings. I will try to update it weekly.
