Due to a sanitary sewer line collapse near the intersection of Phalen Boulevard and Johnson Parkway, the intersection will be closed for several days. The sanitary sewer line is operated by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES); crews and emergency contractors are on the scene preparing to make repairs. No one was injured in this incident and no households have been impacted. The sewer is being monitored and pumped as needed. The intersection of Phalen Boulevard and Johnson Parkway will be closed until further notice. Saint Paul Public Works crews have implemented a detour to divert traffic.
