Due to delays caused by inclement weather last week, the City of Valdosta will continue making the following road repairs. Adequate traffic signage will alert the traveling public and safely direct motorists around these construction sites. Citizens should find alternate routes, if possible; or drive cautiously when traveling through these areas. The city will continue road repairs on Jerry Jones Drive, which will require the northbound lane to be closed. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Gornto Road and then onto Berkley Drive. The detour will end at the intersection of Berkley Drive and Eager Road, where the signal timing will be adjusted in order to help reduce traffic congestion in that area. Work will also continue on Eager Road, which will affect traffic in the eastbound lane. Though the road will not be closed, eastbound traffic on Eager Road will be safely managed with flaggers posted at the work zone.
