Due to inclement weather, the City of Houston Municipal Courts will delay opening until 10 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014. Individuals scheduled for court at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. or jury duty at 9 a.m., should arrive at 10 a.m. All other court cases scheduled at 10 a.m. or later,Friday, January 24, 2014, will begin at their regularly scheduled times. All other court offices (Hearings, Bonds, Deferred Payments, etc.) will also open at 10 a.m. Update: Individuals scheduled for court today at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., who were not able to appear, have until 9 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014, to appear in person to request a reset. Warrants will be issued the following business day. Individuals scheduled for court at 1pm or after are expected to appear today. It is important to note that if an individual fails to appear for court for todays afternoon dockets, an arrest warrant will be issued today.
