Due to my depressingly packed academic schedule, wont do a post-tournament status. But a few brief yet important remarks on Finals: 1. Thank you adj core for the finals motion. It was lovely to imagine a world with everyone being Jeff Tsai. Or well.... perhaps not. 2. Thank you adj core and org comm for rushing the schedule so that I can finish Grand Finals before I rushed to the airport. 3. It was a really enjoyable round with worthy opponents. I still do not know how to rebut Willy Moon Yoris human extinction argument. My initially prepared 2nd layer of response: well, even if that is true, human extinction isnt a bad thing! I mean, the majority of living beings in this world would probably be happy about it. Decided to drop it in the last minute. 4. Wanted to, but forgot to quote Hannah Arendts the essence of humanity of plurality. Probably the one single sentence that has the biggest impact on my life so far. 5. Wanted to make a case on why I always wear the same shirt and same hoodie. But then failed to come up with a satisfactory answer other than poverty LOL 6. James Lams speech was filled up with lies. My partner has always been the more talented one, and me the one trying to catch up. (but I probably cannot dispute his remarks on his appearance :P) 7. Am grateful to the support of everyone, especially my teammates from CUHK, old and new. CUHKEDT has always been one of the most important communities I have. 8. Special thanks to Daeun Lavender Choi for the high-quality A4 paper she gave me in Finals. Was surprised to find out that both sides are white and blank. That came in really handy.
