Due to our super busy day yesterday celebrating with our neighboring Quick Lane this Test Drive Tuesday report is a little delayed. As your friendly TDT driver my job is to help provide answers to the questions you generally want the answers to when looking to purchase a new vehicle. So in case you’ve ever had questions about the 2013 Ford Explorer XLT….. -Does it have room? Indeed it does. Don’t want to give up comfort for the room? You don’t have to with the Explorer. Longer legged individuals will most likely call dibs on the front seats first but there’s plenty of room for everyone in the middle and 3rd row seats. Don’t need to pack people, just cargo? There’s room for that too with the collapsible 3rd row. -How is it for in town driving? I purposely chose this vehicle knowing I had a long list of errands to run. Packing all I had to pick up into this SUV was a breeze. Let’s see, push button rear hatch – check. 3rd row seats tucked down for extra cargo storage – Check. Comfortable leather seats to help me relax while running around with my head cut off – Double Check! -Does it have power? Uh huh! Just hit the gas pedal and you’ll find out just what the Explorer’s 3.5L V6 can do. I found out while on my quick drive on the Interstate just how automatic this engine is. I honestly believed it had a V8 until I looked at the window sticker. I had to make sure to ease off the pedal while running my in town errands. Yeah, it’s that fun. -Does it look good? Rest assured, long gone is the boxy look, ride and feel of the Explorers of old. Now you can enjoy a sleek exterior with the wrap-around European styling feel of the interior. It’s not your average SUV. It stands out among the many choices so you’ll definitely get noticed. -Does it offer what I want in technology? Of course it does. My Ford Touch, Sync Voice systems, back up sensor/camera, dual zone climate control, multiple options for music demands including Sirius Satellite, and so much more. On the non-technology side there are plenty of storage spaces available including in-door cup holders. Handy, very handy. -Does it fit my budget? All you have to do is check in with one of our fine sales associates to learn more about incentives, rebates and all they can do for you to get you in a 2013 Ford Explorer on any day that ends in Y. https://facebook/media/set/?set=a.631582880196787.1073741864.114905415197872&type=1&l=b8f625b157
