Due to the circumstances I don’t know much about my father’s - TopicsExpress

Due to the circumstances I don’t know much about my father’s childhood. The things that I do know make my skin crawl and chill me to the bone. I believe that I was around 7 when I began to hear stories of my father while he was growing up. The one story from his “time of innocence” that I remember was anything but innocent. I still remember the sick gleam in my father’s eye as he recounted a story from when he was with one or two of his brothers playing outside. They came across some stray cats and being boys; they were curious. This would have been fine except that my father goes on to recall how he decided that he was going to tie the cats together by their tails. This struck me as odd but ok, I kept listening. My father then went on to describe how he doused the cats with something flammable and lit them on fire. I was horrified but it still gets worse. He actually laughed as he recounted how the cats “took off like a bat out of hell and ran under a porch that was nearby.” He was almost in tears as he remembered the house catching on fire because he was laughing so hard. I knew then that my father was twisted but I didn’t quite realize the depths yet. ~M
