Due to the recent resignation of our treasurer, the board of the American River Democrats is seeking a club member to fill this position as soon as possible. The duties involve a bi-annual reporting requirement (January & July) to the FPPC which involves filling out a form and submitting it via mail. The other duties include maintaing the checkbook, paying accounts due and making deposits. There are really very few transactions a month, approximately 1-4, and these are reported at our monthly meeting along with the current balance. The Treasurer is also a board member; the board meets once monthly for approximately 1 hour. Our past treasurer, Kathy Day (now serving as interim treasurer), is willing to help guide the new Treasurer through the steps and will remain available for consultation as needed.
