Due to work commitments, our bandmaster, Olaf Ritman, is unable to do the rehearsal of this week, as well as the rehearsal in two weeks time. To proceed with the necessary preparations for the forth coming concerts we therefore invited Pierre Volders to lead these rehearsals. Pierre is not unfamiliar with brass bands, as he is the conductor of Amsterdam Brass (amsterdambrass.nl), one of the champion section brass bands in the Netherlands. He does this on top of his job as principal trombonist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. (rpho.nl). Although we definitely will miss our valued bandmaster, we also look forward to play under the baton of Pierre!
