Duke, a rescue dog who had cancer and his leg amputated, was given a second chance. Under the auspices of Lone Star Animal Welfare League (LSAWL), founded by dear friend, Laura McConnell in the Woodlands, he was adopted by a wonderful family. He knew love and happiness but the cancer returned with a vengeance and he died last week. But that isn’t the end of the story.
