Dumbarton v Albion Rovers Dumbarton are looking to bounce back from the disappointment of losing to Stranraer in the Ramsdens Cup last weekend with manager Ian Murray determined that their season does not start with double trouble. The Bet Butler boss said: “This game is pretty much a must win as far as I am concerned as I do not want us to be out of two Cup competitions before we start our bread and butter. That would bring pressure on us before kicking a ball in the Championship.”“I watched Albion Rovers play Rangers in the Ramsdens Cup so we are well prepared for a game that has taken on extra significance for us after last week’s defeat.”Chris Turner is available after injury and new loan signing, defender Aaron Barry from Sheffield United, will play in the heart of the Sons defence if international clearance comes through in time.Albion Rovers head for Dumbarton with manager James Ward looking for a win and a better understanding of his side’s readiness for their League Two campaign. The Coatbridge side lost 4-0 to Rangers last Sunday in the Ramsdens Cup with Ward saying: “That game did not tell me a great deal as we were playing a full time side that were expected to beat us. Dumbarton are two leagues above us, and are a good outfit, but they are also part-time so it should be more of an even contest.”“We have also had a much more settled week in training and hopefully that will help us in this tie.”Rovers again miss Barry Russell who has an ankle injury with Pat Walker absent against his former side due to family commitments.
