Durian fruit! I never had anything that displayed an orchestrated array of flavors strung out that just baffled my senses. The smell is (sweaty dirty socks is a common description) a great concern and should be handled and dealt with caution, such as keep outside! The hesitant bite; first impression was a sweet custard, then a bundle of citrus flavors-mango, pineapple but those flavors disappear quickly. Finally, you are left with garlic and onion that became burnt. Oddly enough, I kept eating more being baffled and yet finding some enjoyment out of this bizarre fruit. Thanks Darren Wright & Karen Wright for such an offering. Wine pairing? Perhaps an impossible match. Hand sanitizer plus a fresh beverage (anything) is great to have nearby.
