During Mahathir era thats when the most damages were done, Taib mahmud became CM one year before Mahathir became PM, during Mahathir time, it was the peak period of Umno, and they defeated the dayak political power in Sarawak but not Sabah, thats why they use the dirtiest tactic by bringing in the PTI. Umno had been trying to enter Sarawak, but Mahathir could not do it during his time, and when hes gone, came the Pak Lah time, Taib celebrated Sarawak Independence Day in 2008 for the very first time, and by 2013 Sarawak BNs seats save Umno, Taib took the opportunity to celebrate Sarawak Independence Day grandly. Many sarawakians have just only started being exposed to the historical facts this year, 2013... there are still more work to be done to raise the awareness, to put the thoughts of Sarawak Sovereignty in their mind. we do not need to play the game by Umnos rule. Religion and racial elements are not the problems in Sarawak, we have to re-educate them on the truth to wake them up, else they would be welcoming another penjajah, the Pakatan to enter Sarawak.
