During Mois regime, first time politicians and those with high affinity of money in the opposition cadre would be invited in state house or to accompany the former president for overseas trip. They would be thoroughly assured that the meeting or trip would be highly guarded secret. But immediately the politicians leave statehouse after the meeting, or immediately they board the plane with the former President, the same president men breaks the news. We would hear over radio that so and so accompanied Moi for a certain trip. While the opposition MPs are with president abroad knowing that its a secret, the local voters on the ground are bitter. On their arrival, they find the political ground has shifted. It forces them to keep close to the president since they already know they have lost it just get more peanuts. Today am not surprised that my Luhya MPs Hon Wamunyinyi and Hon Chris Wamalwa are in the UK giving company Uhuru to cheer up his wife in the marathon.
