During Professional Responsibility, my professor tells the class that Hawaii is really discriminatory against foreigners. I felt really bothered by it and I told her if you come to Hawaii thinking you are better then everyone else then they will not be nice. However, if you are friendly and respectful then they will be very nice. A lot of people dont understand the history behind the Islands. Our Queen was practically held at gun point and surrounded by an army of ships. America demanded that she turn Hawaii over or they will bomb the entire island killing everyone in sight. The Hawaiian race is now practically extinct, I have only ever met one full Hawaiian in my entire life. The aina (land) is cherished by the locals and we believe that some Gods still reside within them. Our aina is very beautiful and that is a beauty that we protect.
