During a timeout on Oct 4, the Patriots went above and beyond to pay tribute to the opposing Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still, whose 4-year-old daughter, Leah, is fighting cancer. In an emotional show of support, the Patriots played a music video tribute to kids fighting cancer as Patriots cheerleaders traded their traditional outfits for Still’s number 75 Bengals jersey. Still learned after the game that Patriots owner Robert Kraft had donated $25,000 to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in his daughter’s name. Wearing a nasal strip that read, “Leah Strong,” Still fought back tears as he was shown on the video board and the crowd gave him an ovation… “It was very emotional to see that on the board, my daughter and those brave kids fighting cancer. Just seeing the cheerleaders take off their jackets and wearing the jerseys put it over the top. It’s amazing. It’s very emotional. Every time I see a video like that that reminds me what my daughter and those other kids are going through, it’s definitely hard to fight back the tears.” twentytwowords/these-cheerleaders-changed-outfits-mid-game-and-it-brought-an-opposing-player-to-tears/
