During my first 6 months or so on the Board of Supervisors, I - TopicsExpress

During my first 6 months or so on the Board of Supervisors, I pushed relentlessly to get funding for the new Kezar track--to the point that I probably sounded like a broken record to Mayor Lee. Well, we succeeded. And this morning I was proud to join Mayor Lee, Rec + Park GM Phil Ginsburg, and my colleagues Katy Tang and Mark Farrell to see the new Kezar track going in. Kezar is a historic community treasure and an important part of our park system. I cant wait to see the new track open in early 2015. We all even promised to do a 6 AM jog with the Mayor. I dont know how excited I am about the 6 AM part, but I am very excited and proud to see our work coming together with the beautifully redesigned Kezar Triangle park, the new Kezar track, the $500K I secured for the Panhandle, and all the other work we are doing to improve parks in our neighborhoods and citywide.
